The Commissioning of Pastor Kathy

Rev.  Jason Small, our Western Onrtario District Superintendant commissioned Kathy with her credentials with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.  She is now officially Pastor Kathy (but you can still call her Kathy) and our first woman Pastor!

After high school graduation, Kathy had a desire to learn more about the Bible, and attended Eastern Pentecostal Bible College where finished her second year and met/married her husband Bill.

Being a Pastor’s wife/mother was always enough for Kathy, but where the family moved to London to Pastor Abundant Life, she began to work full time in the office doing administration and the women’s group.  That developed into more ministry. Kathy began to speak, oversee the webiste/social media/welcome/visitation/café as well as the women’s group.

It soon became a Pastoral role. 

The “call to ministry” was very organic for Kathy. The desire to serve her church family & community came from her desire to live her entire moment my moment life for the care & faith of small world. 

It wasn’t until a Pastoral change caused her to think deeply about her ministry and role.  That was when Kathy realized that YES, she was definitely  CALLED by God to pastor, and especially pastor with her husband Bill at Abundant Life Community Church!  What does that look like!  IT’s beautiful!
